The Blush Pink Trend That Will Change Your Wardrobe

Featured

Don’t lump the serene color of blush pink into your mindset of Barbie dolls, bright pink nail polish or sugar sweet bubblegum. Blush pink is a soft pale hue that is one of the happiest colors of nature that veers toward a neutral color to be styled for a natural and contemporary look. Think of blush as the insides of seashells, pale peonies and roses and the graceful swirl of a morning sunrise. Don’t you already feel happy? Blush is another comfort color to be used in those places where you want to relax and wind down from your many hubs of activity. Let’s “pink differently” about blush.

“My outfit is the perfect combination of two awesome trends; the blush pink trend and the lace trend! The intricacies of this lace detailing make for a truly feminine look which I absolutely love!”

American Girl

Today is Memorial Day, the day of remembrance for everyone who has died serving in the American armed forces. Although I was born in Europe, I’ve now spent almost 5 amazing years here in the States, and I’ve worked incredibly hard to achieve my Extraordinary Ability Green Card. I’m extremely proud to call America my new home, especially when I’ve worked so hard to get here!

“…and of course—indulge in the annual Memorial Day sales that all of your favorite brands are gifting you for the unofficial start of summer”

Living La Dolce Vita in Rome

Featured

As much as its great monuments – the Colosseum, St Peter’s Basilica, the Pantheon – what I love about Rome are its details: the cobbled lanes and hidden corners, the vivid colours, the aroma of freshly ground coffee wafting out of its cafes. Rome’s streets and piazzas are an endless source of entertainment and, as a history buff, I get a real kick when I think of all the legendary events that have taken place here. Rome is also a fabulous place to eat well and there’s little I love more than a long lunch at a favorite trattoria.

“My absolute favorite activity while I’m here is obviously shopping at Via Condotti and the Spanish Steps where I indulge with my Italian lovers… Dolce Gabbana, Zanotti, Versace, Pucci, Guardiani, and Gucci”

Channeling My Inner Jackie O

Featured

The “Fashion Icon Symbol” is awarded with such ease these days that it has lost much of it’s power. It is my honest opinion that few modern women deserve the distinction. Will Alexa Chung’s look be remembered decades from now? Will Kate Moss’s style stand the test of time? However cool and modern our current best-dressed crop may be, theirs is a transitory fashion charm; an of-the-moment allure that burns bright but is fast forgotten.

“Forever frozen in time as the look she was wearing on the day her husband, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, Jackie’s pink Chanel tweed bouclé suit has become a piece of fashion history.”

The Art Of Glam

One of the most difficult things to achieve in matters of fashion is that precious, perfectly polished look for which you have to spend tons of money and loads of time. All women want to look like a million bucks regardless of their budget.

“Being glamorous is all about appearing endlessly stylish, confident and classy. Be a student of both art and fashion history, and dress up more often… for work, for play or just for running errands”
