Whenever I’m in Beverly Hills, I always find time to run by my favorite candy store SUGARFINA. Their stores are absolutely stunning – decorated in glass, crystals and candy. Whether you’re just decorating like me, or you’re planning a birthday party, a baby shower, or looking for a fun wedding favor to serve up alongside cake, setting up a candy bar is a sweet solution. Before you get started on creating a candy bar of your own, there are a few tips to keep in mind. Here are my tips for how to style your sweets:
Pick A Palette: Picking your color palette is the first order of business when it comes to building your candy bar. Monochromatic candy bars are very popular these days, but you don’t have to limit yourself to a single hue. As long as it’s well thought out and aesthetically pleasing, feel free to choose a couple of colors or even a whole spectrum that goes well together. My color choices for candy depends on the season and occasion, but I love pale pinks, Tiffany blue, white, gold and chocolate brown!
Add Dimension: It’s important that both your candy and your jars have dimension. Choose a good range of shapes and sizes that will add depth and height to your spread.
Create the Candy: It’s great if your candy bar looks pretty, but you also want it to be fun for guests to eat, too! Make sure you have a good mix of different types of candy—some chocolate, some hard candy, some gummies. All my candy is from SUGARFINA, and my absolute favorite little exclusive detail to add, are the Gold Marshmallows.
