In Her Little Shoes

Tiny red soles, blush bows, and a pair of butterflies beside mine.

There is something about a tiny pair of shoes that makes me stop and look a little longer. A bow that seems almost as big as the shoe itself. The smallest flash of red underneath. A pair of butterfly wings, just like mine, only little.

After sharing Madison’s nursery, I wanted to open another corner of her world: the shelves where her little fashion pieces sit among the bunnies and keepsakes. It is a lovely mix of my love of dressing up and all the softness of her little world.

Mommy & Mini

A little pair
beside mine

The Sophia Webster butterfly shoes are such a sweet example. Mine have their tall heels and rose-gold wings; hers have soft little shapes and the same beautiful detail at the back.

Side by side, the difference in scale is what makes the photograph. You notice the tiny straps, the scalloped edges, and the wings that seem wonderfully oversized on such small shoes.

I love a matching moment that still leaves room for each of us. A shared detail is all it takes.

The sweetest matching moments are sometimes
the smallest ones.

On Her Shelves

Little red soles & lovely bows

The Christian Louboutin boxes have become part of the display, with pink, ivory, silver, and that bright little red shoe sitting above them. The bows give each pair so much character. Even among all the pale colors, the red one immediately catches my eye.

And then, right beside those special shoes, there is a bunny in a pink tutu. I love that combination. The shelves can hold something beautiful and something wonderfully playful at the same time.

Seeing her little pairs beside my own makes the whole corner feel personal. It is a small glimpse of the things we share, with plenty of space for her own story.

The Little Details

A little world of her own

A miniature pink bag, a white rocking horse, a few soft toys: the details around the shoes are just as much a part of the picture. They keep this corner feeling like Madison’s, with that gentle palette of ivory and blush running through it all.

These photographs are a lovely way to hold on to the scale of everything. One day, a pair of shoes this tiny will be hard to imagine. For now, I am happy to give them their own little place—and their own little story.

xoxo, Charlotte
