A Little Pink on the Water
There is something about pink against the water that makes me reach for it every time. For this Newport Harbor moment, I wore a pink mini dress with feather cuffs and a feather-trimmed hem, finished with matching bow heels. The boats and pale waterfront make such a lovely backdrop for all that color.
I love how simple the shape of this dress is, even with the feathers. The clean neckline and long sleeves give the texture room to stand out, while the short hem keeps the whole look playful. The oversized bows on my heels bring that same feeling all the way down to my toes. Sometimes one color is all you need.
My wardrobe still has a little Manhattan in it, wherever I am. Here, that means a dressed-up moment on deck, with the harbor behind me and pink from head to toe.
A Little Sparkle
Up close, it is all about the jewelry: my delicate “wifey” necklace, my rings, and those soft feather cuffs. I kept the necklace fine and simple against the pink neckline, with just enough sparkle to catch the light.
The full look is fun, but I always love a detail photograph too. A bow, a feather, a small word on a necklace—these are the things that make an outfit feel like mine.
