A Midtown Christmas walking map
This New York Christmas map brings together Bergdorf Goodman, Tiffany’s Landmark, FAO Schwarz and the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. Use it to choose your stops, open walking directions and check the current details with each venue.
The route follows a small, useful part of Midtown rather than trying to fit every New York attraction into one day. Begin at the northern end, walk south when you are ready, and make the toy stop or a booked café visit the anchor of the afternoon.

Arrival is not the same as lights-on.
November 7
Rockefeller Center currently lists this as the tree’s arrival date. Seeing it arrive can be part of a holiday plan, but it is not a promise of an illuminated tree.
December 2
The official site currently lists the annual lighting ceremony on this date. A regular visit after the lighting is a different experience from attending the ceremony, with its own crowd and access considerations.
Dates above come from Rockefeller Center’s official tree page, checked October 18, 2026. Confirm the latest schedule before arranging travel.
Choose your pace
Three ways to use the map
The shorter family outing
Toys, then a little tree magic.
Make FAO Schwarz the main stop, with a short Rockefeller Center visit if the weather and energy allow. There is no need to complete every pin.
A Fifth Avenue afternoon
Windows, shopping, a booked pause.
Start at Bergdorf Goodman, continue to Tiffany and choose one indoor break in advance. Rockefeller Center can be the finale rather than another deadline.
The weather changes
Keep the route flexible.
Choose fewer stops and a dependable indoor pause. Queues may be outside, even when the destination is indoors; leave time and dress accordingly.
Dressed for the afternoon
Let the outfit follow the plan.
Comfortable walking shoes and warm layers first, then a touch of burgundy, pink or gold.
