No Mission Too Impossible

I wake up feeling the sun in my face. Long, white curtains are blowing in the wind. I can see the beautiful view of Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley from the exquisite hotel suite I’m staying in. I turn around and there he’s laying next to me. Shirtless. Naked. The most gorgeous man I’ve seen in my life. There is a knock at the door, and he wakes up. The breakfast I ordered 20 minutes ago arrives. We stare at each other while he drinks his coffee and I drink my orange juice, and I feel like I just want to pause this moment forever.

We head out the door, it’s time to head back home. Return to the real world, at least as real as lala land can be. We decide to stop by the windmills I’m dying to see from my favorite scene in Mission Impossible III (The Cobra is hit by a windmill blade and knocked to the ground). The windmills remind me of my childhood in Scandinavia. I remember growing up spending many summers in Denmark with my parents and brothers, driving by the thousands and thousands of windmills.  (The Danish wind turbine industry is the world’s largest). Out in the middle of nowhere, I feel so alive. I get off the bike and start dancing around. Feeling happy and filled with new energy.

Going back home seems a little sad, but I’m not coming home empty handed. I’ve met the most amazing guy. I can’t believe how fast your life can change just by having a new person come into it. It reminds me of how important it is to go on adventures, take chances, and follow your heart… I left feeling restless, stressed out and bored. I’m returning feeling happier and more satisfied than I have felt in a very long time. Mission accomplished. xoxo, Charlotte
