How I Wear My Favorite Leather Jacket This Winter

I love when Fall time rolls around… The leaves are changing and the temperatures are definitely cooling down. One of my go-to layering pieces has always been a leather jacket, and today I’m sharing two different ways to style a leather jacket this Fall!
Leather jackets are a staple in both the male and female closet, giving a tough and edgy approach to your outfits. Not only are they stylish and luxurious, but they look amazing when worn with anything as they are extremely versatile.

“The best thing you can do for a Fall and Wintertime leather jacket is opt for a size bigger than what you would normally wear”

How to Dress Like an Italian Bombshell

If New York women have mastered power dressing and Parisians have effortless elegance down to a science, then Italian women should be credited with excelling at dressing like bombshells, and oozing with easygoing sex appeal—the kind that has you do a double take and wonder “did she wake up like that?”

After visiting Italy almost every Summer as a child and teenager, I’ve realized that most of Italian women always look put-together, even when they’re just heading to the grocery store (their ability to practically run along the cobblestone streets in the highest of heels continues to impress me). To get the look, you’ll have to invest in a few things: A chic pair of stilettos, a dress with the just right amount of va-va-voom—a la Sophia Loren, THE Italian glamour girl, and sexy – yet smart -accessories such as a pair of statement gloves, a beautiful handbag, or playful baroque detailed costume jewelry. Build outfits starting with a statement piece—be it sassy stilettos, gloves, or to-die-for chandelier earrings—and go from there.

“Some of my favorite Italian style-setters know the secret to any great outfit is starting with a statement piece, and then building an outfit around it”

The Floral Prints Blooming in the Fashion World

A floral story is not exclusive to Spring – ladies like their blooms year-round and the runways were more than happy to comply with moodier versions of garden prints this season. With Summer coming to an end, it’s time to talk about Fall fashion. One of the biggest trends for Fall 2017 is to wear couch floral prints. This means instead of wearing the usual floral prints with roses or daisies, the trend is to wear vintage-inspired floral prints, ones you might see on a vintage couch or pillow.

“For Fall/Winter 2017, try dark, bewitching blooms from  Preen and Gucci, graphic posies by way of Miu Miu and Marni, or creeping buds up the pale pink palettes of Zimmermann and Rodarte”

Couture is Still the Way of Selling a Dream

Haute couture Week is one of the most important events on the fashion calendar. Biannually, internationally renowned fashion houses like Chanel and Christian Dior, as well as newer, lesser-known brands such as Bouchra Jarrar and Elie Saab, present painstakingly elaborate and extremely expensive designs behind closed doors to a hand-picked audience of editors, buyers and private clients.

“For a long time, Haute Couture, was all that mattered in fashion, and Couture is still the way of selling a dream. Couture is still the way of extending brand fame. People see the footage or pictures from a Couture show, and say to themselves: – I’m still going to but that Chanel N 5 or that Dior Lipstick… Because I still want to buy a little bit of that dream!”
