My Summer To Fall Transition Tips

It’s that indecisive, stuck in the middle, uncertain time—like when you’re choosing whether to break it off with a fling, move to a new apartment or quit Facebook. In other words, it’s transition season. The new fall wares you fell for when you saw them on the runway are hitting stores and e-commerce sites, while the spring and summer goods that once looked so inviting hang onto the sales rack like that fling who got a little too clingy. And while those fall goods—those Dior over-the-knee boots and Gucci pleated leather midi skirts and Céline fur collar trenches—are still as beautiful as the first time you laid eyes on them, you can’t help but get visions of melting on Madison Avenue, Wicked Witch of the West-style, when you look at them. So the question remains, what do I buy now?

“The anatomy of a transition piece is straightforward: it must be appropriate in style and fabrication to wear now and ideal to layer for cooler seasons”

Shop the Biggest Trends of Fall

Sure, we’re hanging on to Summer for as long as we can — but if you’re like me, you just can’t wait to see what’s next! Fall/Winter has a way of sneaking up, and I got your Fall forecast right here! Get ready for animal prints, tiny handbags (if your phone can fit, your bag is too big!!!), bow blouses paired with pleated skirts, leather fanny packs (yeah – they’re not going anywhere), fuzzy coats, dark floral prints, and bright neon colored dresses, suits and two-pieces (particularly in yellow or pink).

“Neon for Fall? Actually groundbreaking. Blinding hues have been one of Summer’s brightest trends and it seems like they’re carrying over to Fall”

My Favorite Look from NYFW

Fashion month has officially started, and first up is New York City. My favorites for Fall’19 includes The velvet blazers from Tom Ford, the boho dresses at Ulla Johnson and the coats at Rachel Comey!

“Street-Style-wise I always appreciate how New Yorkers make it clear that it’s way more fun to wear any color but black”
