The Floral Prints Blooming in the Fashion World

A floral story is not exclusive to Spring – ladies like their blooms year-round and the runways were more than happy to comply with moodier versions of garden prints this season. With Summer coming to an end, it’s time to talk about Fall fashion. One of the biggest trends for Fall 2017 is to wear couch floral prints. This means instead of wearing the usual floral prints with roses or daisies, the trend is to wear vintage-inspired floral prints, ones you might see on a vintage couch or pillow.

“For Fall/Winter 2017, try dark, bewitching blooms from  Preen and Gucci, graphic posies by way of Miu Miu and Marni, or creeping buds up the pale pink palettes of Zimmermann and Rodarte”

Couture is Still the Way of Selling a Dream

Haute couture Week is one of the most important events on the fashion calendar. Biannually, internationally renowned fashion houses like Chanel and Christian Dior, as well as newer, lesser-known brands such as Bouchra Jarrar and Elie Saab, present painstakingly elaborate and extremely expensive designs behind closed doors to a hand-picked audience of editors, buyers and private clients.

“For a long time, Haute Couture, was all that mattered in fashion, and Couture is still the way of selling a dream. Couture is still the way of extending brand fame. People see the footage or pictures from a Couture show, and say to themselves: – I’m still going to but that Chanel N 5 or that Dior Lipstick… Because I still want to buy a little bit of that dream!”

How my Sleep has Improved after Changing to a Custom Mattress

I am one of those people that needs their sleep! If I’m running short on sleep you’ll definitely know (kind of like how people get hangry – I get like that if I don’t get a good night sleep).

We got a new mattress a few weeks back, and today I’m excited to tell you all about it! It’s from a company called Custom Comfort Mattress, an exclusive mattress company with 8 locations in Southern California (delivery available nationwide). CCM have designed and crafted mattresses that helps people sleep better at night and it’s beautiful (no seriously, you won’t want to put sheets over your mattress). Besides the meticulous handwork and materials, the big differentiator is that they offer free sleep consultations to get to know your personal history and sleeping habits. Additionally they can be made to any size and shape, so if you live in a medieval castle or Tuscan villa with non-standard period furniture or need something oddly shaped for your mega-yacht or jet, this is the place to come!

“I like to compare my mattress to first class plane tickets. Consider that some people routinely spend more than $8,000 on a single first class ticket that is used up and worthless 24 hours later, so maybe the beds, which routinely enjoy a 30 year lifespan, arent such a bad buy?.”
